Related Themes: Agni Purana 380 (Viṣṇu-tattva and bhakti passages); Agni Purana 381 (Yama-gītā: mokṣa teaching to seekers)
It teaches a bhakti-based contemplative vidyā: recognizing Viṣṇu as the indwelling Lord and ground of the entire cosmos, from the highest deity (Brahmā) to the smallest life-form, as a direct means to siddhi.
Alongside its many technical disciplines, the Agni Purana also systematizes core theology: it presents a concise metaphysical doctrine (Viṣṇu as cosmic substratum and ruler) and links it to a practical soteriology (bhakti leading to siddhi), showing the text’s breadth beyond ritual and science.
It asserts that steadfast devotion grounded in correct understanding of Viṣṇu’s all-pervasiveness grants assured spiritual accomplishment, even without advanced yogic practice—emphasizing grace-supported realization and purification through bhakti.
