FAQs

It prescribes a mantra-prayoga: recitation of the Rathantara and Vāmadevya Vedic chants along with an Agni-homa, highlighting the mantra “Agne gobhinna …” as a specific means to increase medhā (intellect) and brahma-varcas (Vedic lustre).

It demonstrates the text’s practical cataloguing of applied Vedic knowledge—linking named Sāma-chants and a specific Agni-mantra to a concrete outcome (intellect and spiritual radiance), showing the Purana’s role as a compendium of ritual-technical instructions.

By directing homa with Vedic chants aimed at brahma-varcas and medhā, the verse frames learning and clarity as fruits of disciplined ritual action, implying purification and enhancement of spiritual potency through correct mantra and offering.
