Worship of Sūrya
जानुभ्यामवनीङ्गत्वा सूर्यायार्घ्यं निवेदयेत् स्वविद्यामन्त्रितैः कुम्भैर् नवभिः प्रार्च्य वै ग्रहान्
jānubhyāmavanīṅgatvā sūryāyārghyaṃ nivedayet svavidyāmantritaiḥ kumbhair navabhiḥ prārcya vai grahān
இரு முழங்கால்களிலும் தரையில் முன்னே சென்று சூரியனுக்கு அர்க்யம் சமர்ப்பிக்க வேண்டும்; பின்னர் தன் வித்யா மந்திரங்களால் அபிமந்திரிக்கப்பட்ட ஒன்பது கும்பங்களால் நவகிரகங்களை விதிப்படி வழிபட வேண்டும்।
