Sandhi Resolution Notes: यजेद्धरिं = यजेत् + हरिम् (त् + ह → द्ध); श्रियमग्निं = श्रियम् + अग्निम् (म् + अ → म); हरिरुद्रम् treated as द्वन्द्व (हरि + रुद्र) in accusative collective.

FAQs

It prescribes a tithi-specific observance: on Aśvayuj bright-fortnight Pūrṇimā, perform devatā-pūjā/homa to Hari and associated deities, using ghee as the primary offering.

It exemplifies the text’s practical ritual cataloging—mapping calendar time (month, pakṣa, tithi) to concrete worship targets and offerings—one of the Purana’s many procedural knowledge domains alongside polity, medicine, and arts.

Observing Pūrṇimā worship with ghee oblations is presented as a meritorious act that harmonizes devotion across major deities and supports prosperity (Śrī) and purification through Agni-mediated offering.
