Chapter 280 — रसादिलक्षणम् / सर्वरोगहराण्यौषधानि

स्नेहपाके च तद्गुणमिति ख तत्तुल्यताप्यस्य तथा यथा भवति सुश्रुत इति ख उपक्रमद्वयं प्रोक्तं तर्पणं वाप्यतर्पणं हिताशी च मिताशी च जीर्णाशी च तथा भवेत्

snehapāke ca tadguṇamiti kha tattulyatāpyasya tathā yathā bhavati suśruta iti kha upakramadvayaṃ proktaṃ tarpaṇaṃ vāpyatarpaṇaṃ hitāśī ca mitāśī ca jīrṇāśī ca tathā bhavet

ஸ்நேஹபாகத்தில் (நெய்‑எண்ணெய் முதலியவற்றின் சமைப்பு/செயலாக்கத்தில்) அதன் சரியான குண‑லட்சணங்களை அறிய வேண்டும்; அதற்கே ஒப்பான அளவில் வெப்பம் அளிக்க வேண்டும்—சுஶ்ருதர் கூறியபடி. இரண்டு சிகிச்சை முறைகள் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளன: தர்ப்பணம் (ஊட்டம்) மற்றும் அதர்ப்பணம் (இலகுபடுத்தல்/குறைப்பு). நன்மையானதை உண்ண வேண்டும், அளவோடு உண்ண வேண்டும், முந்தைய உணவு செரிந்த பின்பே உண்ண வேண்டும்.
