ॐ यं भूतान्यापातयेहं आदानं कृत्वा चानेन प्रकृत्या योजनं शृणु ताडनेन विमोक्ष्यैवमिति ख, चिह्नितपुस्तकपाठः ॐ यं भूतानि पुंश्चाहो होममन्त्रं प्रवक्ष्यामि ततः पूर्णाहुतेर्मनुं
oṃ yaṃ bhūtānyāpātayehaṃ ādānaṃ kṛtvā cānena prakṛtyā yojanaṃ śṛṇu tāḍanena vimokṣyaivamiti kha, cihnitapustakapāṭhaḥ oṃ yaṃ bhūtāni puṃścāho homamantraṃ pravakṣyāmi tataḥ pūrṇāhutermanuṃ
‘ஓம் யம் பூதான்யாபாதயேஹம்’—இதனால் இங்கு பூதங்களை வீழ்த்தி/அகற்ற வேண்டும். ஆதானம் செய்து விதிப்படி பயன்பாட்டு-யோஜனையை கேள்; தாடனத்தால் அவற்றை விடுவிக்க வேண்டும்—என்று கூறப்படுகிறது. குறியிடப்பட்ட பாடத்தில்: ‘ஓம் யம் பூதானி…’—ஹோம மந்திரத்தை உரைத்து, பின்னர் பூர்ணாஹுதி மந்திரத்தைச் சொல்.
