It emphasizes śravaṇa (reverent listening) and vinaya (humble bowing) as primary means by which Shaiva knowledge is transmitted—devotionally receiving the sages’ detailed teaching becomes a doorway to Shiva-oriented understanding.
The verse models the Purāṇic method of Saguna Shiva worship through narration: detailed recounting and repeated remembrance of Shiva-tattva and Shiva’s acts supports devotion, which in turn matures into deeper insight into the Supreme Pati.
Regular śravaṇa and pāṭha (listening/recitation) of Shiva Purana with namaskāra (bowing) and repeated remembrance—optionally accompanied by japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—is the practical takeaway.
