It highlights how the mind becomes steady and purposeful when aligned through sanctified intention (mantra/abhimantraṇa), and how devotion expresses itself as longing for divine darśana—an outer sign of inner reorientation toward Śiva-Śakti.
The verse emphasizes darśana and devotional eagerness, a key feature of Saguna worship—seeking the Lord (and Śakti) in an accessible form. In Shaiva practice, such yearning supports focused pūjā, including liṅga-upāsanā, where mantra and reverent attention culminate in darśana.
It points to mantra-japa and consecrated speech/intention (abhimantrita), used to gather the mind quickly; practically, one may do Panchākṣarī japa ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") and then take darśana of Śiva/Śakti in pūjā with a composed, devotional mind.
