Sanatkumara
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Sthala Purana: Not a Jyotirliṅga account; it is a narrative hinge: Sanatkumāra reports that Śiva, after hearing the devas, gives an authoritative reply—typical of Pati responding to the bound beings’ appeal.
Significance: Devotional takeaway: approaching Śiva with collective surrender and right counsel invites His clarifying response and eventual grace.
Role: teaching
It highlights Śiva as the supreme Pati—one who listens, discerns, and then gives the right reply for dharma and spiritual order, showing compassionate governance rather than impulsive power.
The verse presents Śiva in a personal (saguṇa) mode—engaging in dialogue and guidance—supporting devotional worship where the devotee approaches Śiva, offers prayer, and receives direction and grace.
A practical takeaway is śravaṇa and manana: first listen attentively (as Śiva does here), then respond through japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with a calm, discerning mind before action.
