It highlights mauna (sacred silence) arising naturally when the mind becomes absorbed in Maheshvara—suggesting that the highest Shaiva understanding is stabilized not merely by speech but by inward realization of Pati (Shiva).
Saguna worship (such as Linga-upasana) disciplines the mind toward Shiva; when that contemplation ripens, devotion turns inward and culminates in steady absorption, where words become secondary to direct inner orientation to Maheshvara.
A practical takeaway is Shiva-dhyana with japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), allowing the mind to settle into stillness (mauna) after recitation—resting attention on Shiva rather than multiplying discourse.
