It highlights the Shaiva principle that Śiva (Pati) is the supreme Lord whose ājñā sustains cosmic order, and that true devotion expresses itself as willing, disciplined service—exemplified by the gaṇas led by Nandī and Bhṛṅgī.
The gaṇas’ loyalty underscores Saguna Śiva’s accessible lordship—devotees approach Śiva in worship (including Liṅga worship) with the same attitude of surrender to his will, trusting that his command is dharma and his grace leads toward liberation.
Adopt sevā-bhāva (service-attitude) in daily Śiva-pūjā: recite the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” and mentally offer obedience (ājñā-śaraṇāgati) as the core meditation—acting in life as if carrying out Śiva’s command.
