सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः
हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
इति वानरराजस्त्वामाहेत्यभिहितो मया।मामैक्षत ततः क्रुद्धश्चक्षुषा प्रदहन्निव।।।।
iti vānararājas tvām āhety abhihito mayā | mām aikṣata tataḥ kruddhaś cakṣuṣā pradahann iva ||
इति वानरराजः तव हिताय संदेशं प्रेषितवान्—इत्यहं मया अभिहितम्। ततः स क्रुद्धः रावणः मामैक्षत, चक्षुषा प्रदहन्निव।।
'This I was asked to tell you by the king of vanaras wishing your welfare'. 'Ravana then angrily looked at me as if to burn me.
