अशोकवनिकाविचारः
Survey of the Aśoka Grove and its Enchanted Landscape
इयं च नलिनी रम्या द्विजसङ्घनिषेविता।इमां सा राममहिषी नूनमेष्यति जानकी।।।।
iyaṃ ca nalinī ramyā dvijasaṅghaniṣevitā | imāṃ sā rāmamahiṣī nūnam eṣyati jānakī ||
इयं च रम्या नलिनी द्विजसङ्घैर्निषेविता। अत्र नूनं राममहिषी जानकी समुपैष्यति॥
"This lovely lotus-pond is frequented by flocks of aquatic birds. Surely Rama's queen Janaki will come to this place.
Dharma is compassionate attentiveness: Hanumān anticipates Sītā’s movements not to intrude, but to find and help her without causing harm.
Hanumān surveys the grove’s pond and reasons that Sītā may come there, making it a likely place to observe her.
Empathy joined with strategy: he thinks from Sītā’s perspective while planning his search.
