Janaka’s Genealogy and the Bestowal of Sita and Urmila
तस्य पुत्रद्वयं जज्ञे धर्मज्ञस्य महात्मन:।ज्येष्ठोऽहमनुजो भ्राता मम वीर: कुशध्वज:।।।।
tasya putradvayaṃ jajñe dharmajñasya mahātmanaḥ |
jyeṣṭho ’ham anujo bhrātā mama vīraḥ kuśadhvajaḥ ||
तस्य धर्मज्ञस्य महात्मनः पुत्रद्वयं समजायत। ज्येष्ठोऽहं, मम अनुजो भ्राता वीरः कुशध्वजः॥
Hrasvaroma, was a religious king. He was a great soul. Of his two sons. I am theeldest and valiant Kusadhwaja is my younger brother.
