तां तथा गिरिनिम्नगां दर्शयित्वा मैथिलीम्, रामः गिरिप्रस्थे निषसाद, सीतां मांसेन छन्दयन्।
Rama showed Sita, the princess of Mithila the river Mandakini flowing in the mountain, gratified her by offering meat (to eat) and sat on the mountain slope.
Dharma is responsibility within renunciation: even in exile, Rāma maintains the duty of care toward Sītā, showing that righteousness includes practical protection and sustenance.
The scene transitions from description to action: Rāma settles on the mountainside after showing Sītā the river and arranges food for her.
Protective care and steadiness—Rāma continues to act as guardian and provider despite the hardships of forest life.
