रामदर्शनार्थं दारानयनम्
The Queens Summoned; Rama’s Leave-Taking and Dasaratha’s Collapse
अयं स पुरुषव्याघ्रो द्वारि तिष्ठति ते सुतः।ब्राह्मणेभ्यो धनं दत्वा सर्वञ्चैवोपजीविनाम्।।।।
ayaṃ sa puruṣavyāghro dvāri tiṣṭhati te sutaḥ | brāhmaṇebhyo dhanaṃ datvā sarvaṃ caivopajīvinām ||
अयं स पुरुषव्याघ्रः ते सुतो रामः द्वारि तिष्ठति; ब्राह्मणेभ्यो धनं दत्त्वा, सर्वेभ्यश्च उपजीविनेभ्यः सर्वं च वितीर्य॥
Your son Rama, the best of men, having given away his entire wealth in charity to brahmins and to all the dependents is waiting at the entrance.
Dāna-dharma: before undertaking hardship, Rāma fulfills social obligations by supporting brahmins and dependents.
A court messenger reports that Rāma has distributed his wealth and is waiting at the entrance, ready to proceed.
Generosity and conscientious preparation, showing non-attachment to possessions.
