Concept: Earth is karma-bhūmi (field for meritorious action); other realms are primarily for experiencing results (bhoga). Therefore, act rightly now.

Application: Prioritize sādhanā, charity, truthfulness, and vrata observance now rather than postponing spiritual effort for ‘later’ or ‘elsewhere’.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

FAQs

It denotes a realm where beings must act and thereby generate merit and demerit—spiritual progress is shaped through intentional deeds and ethical discipline.

They refer to other worlds where the primary experience is the enjoyment (or exhaustion) of results already earned, rather than initiating fresh karma in the same way.

Since this world is a field of action, one should use human life for responsible, dharmic effort—choosing conduct that leads to higher outcomes rather than mere consumption of pleasures.
