Suta (narrating Narada Purana’s tirtha-mahatmya section; teachings attributed within the Narada tradition)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches a classic tirtha-mahātmyic principle: sins are cleansed through proper deity-worship (pūjā) and through sacred bathing (snāna) at a powerful confluence (saṅgama), resulting in bhadra—auspicious welfare and good fortune.
Bhakti is expressed here as prārcana—reverent worship of named forms (Durvāseśa and Piṅgeśa). The verse links devoted ritual worship with inner purification (pāpa-vimocana) and blessed outcomes.
Ritual practice (kalpa/ācāra) is implied: the proper performance of pūjā and tīrtha-snāna at a saṅgama. It reflects applied dharma-śāstra style guidance rather than grammar or astrology.
