Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It introduces Kurukṣetra as a merit-giving tīrtha and frames the upcoming yātrā-vidhāna as a direct means to attain an “uttamā gati,” linking pilgrimage practice with spiritual elevation.
While Bhakti is not named explicitly here, the verse sets a devotional context: listening with faith and performing prescribed tīrtha-practices are presented as effective spiritual disciplines leading toward the highest goal.
It points to applied ritual procedure (vidhi) for a pilgrimage—practical dharma/karma-kāṇḍa guidance rather than a specific Vedāṅga like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa in this single verse.
