FAQs

It highlights a purification-and-sealing step in a prescribed rite: water empowered by mantra (seven recitations) is used to sanctify the pratimā, and placing it at the threshold symbolically establishes a protective or operative boundary for the intended subject of the ritual.

Bhakti is implied through mantra-japa and ritual purity: repeated recitation sanctifies ordinary water into a devotional offering, showing how disciplined, reverent action (japa + śuddhi) becomes a means to align the rite with divine order.

Mantra-japa count and ritual sequencing reflect practical Kalpa (ritual procedure) and Śikṣā/Vyākaraṇa sensitivity in correct recitation; the verse stresses that efficacy depends on properly sanctified water and correctly performed steps.
