The Lamentation Concerning Yama
पुराणेऽपि जगन्नाथ न श्रुतं पटमार्जनम् । सोऽहं न जांना मि कदाचिदाश दृष्ट्वा क्षिरीशं हरिसेवने स्थितम् । प्रवादमानं पटहं सुघोरं प्रलोपमानं ममविश्ममार्गम् ॥ १६ ॥
purāṇe'pi jagannātha na śrutaṃ paṭamārjanam | so'haṃ na jāṃnā mi kadācidāśa dṛṣṭvā kṣirīśaṃ harisevane sthitam | pravādamānaṃ paṭahaṃ sughoraṃ pralopamānaṃ mamaviśmamārgam || 16 ||
हे जगन्नाथ! पुराणेष्वपि मया न श्रुतं ‘पटमार्जनम्’। नाहं कदाचिदपि तदाशङ्कितवान्—यावत् क्षिरीशं हरिसेवने स्थितं दृष्टवान्; स सुघोरं पटहं प्रवादयन् मम दुर्गममार्गं प्रलोपयन्निवाभात्॥१६॥
