Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"bhakti","secondary_rasa":"shanta","emotional_journey":"Moves from inner conflict (jealousy/pride) to softened humility and maternal fulfillment through the son."}
It highlights inner purification—renouncing jealousy (irṣyā) and pride (māna)—and expresses dharma through compassionate service, here symbolized by feeding an honored woman/guest.
By stressing humility and the dropping of egoic emotions, it aligns with bhakti’s core discipline: making the heart fit for devotion through selfless, respectful conduct (seva and atithi-satkara).
No specific Vedanga (like Vyakarana or Jyotisha) is taught directly; the practical takeaway is dharmic conduct—atithi-seva/anna-dana (feeding) as a meritorious practice often praised in Purana-based ritual culture.
