तस्य सुतीक्ष्णेन खुरेण पृथ्वीं दारयतः, तस्मिन्नेव भूभागे भूम्यन्तर्गता किल गृहगोधा समभवत्॥५॥
Narada (narrating to the Sanatkumara brothers, Uttara-Bhaga style tirtha-mahatmya narration)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bibhatsa
It frames a tirtha-mahatmya style event where a striking physical act (splitting the earth) produces an unusual consequence, signaling that the place and the unfolding narrative carry karmic and sacred significance.
Indirectly: in Uttara-Bhaga narratives, extraordinary occurrences in a locale prepare the listener for faith (śraddhā) in the tirtha’s power—supporting devotion through reverent attention to sacred places and their divinely guided histories.
No explicit Vedanga instruction is given in this verse; it functions primarily as puranic narration (ākhyāna) used in mahatmya sections rather than as a direct teaching in vyākaraṇa, jyotiṣa, or kalpa.
