Adhyaya 72 — The Reconciliation Rite, Sarasvati Sacrifice, and the Birth of Uttama Manu (Auttama Manvantara Prelude)
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca tataḥ sa rājā taṃ vipram āhāsmin kīdṛśī kriyā | tanmūkatāpanodāya sa ca taṃ prāha pārthivam ||
Kingship is shown as cooperating with sacred expertise: the ruler seeks dharmic-ritual guidance rather than acting arbitrarily.
Narrative instruction allied to dharma/ritual practice; not a core pancalakṣaṇa category.
The turn to a vipra indicates that vāg (speech) is restored through śruti-informed means—mantra and iṣṭi—rather than merely social power.
