पत्नीउवाच मदर्थं तेन नागेन सुता शप्ता सखी मम ।
मूका भविष्यसीत्याह सा च मूकत्वमागताः ॥
patnyuvāca madarthaṃ tena nāgena sutā śaptā sakhī mama | mūkā bhaviṣyasīty āha sā ca mūkatvam āgatāḥ ||
भार्योवाच—“मम हेतोः, सखे, सा कन्या तेन नागेन शप्ता—‘त्वं मूकत्वं गमिष्यसि’ इति; सा च नूनं मूकत्वं प्राप्ता।”
