Adhyaya 52 — The Manifestation of Nilalohita (Rudra) and the Allocation of His Names, Abodes, Consorts, and Lineages
patnī marīceḥ sambhūtiḥ paurṇamāsam asūyata | virajāḥ parvataś caiva tasya putrau mahātmanaḥ ||
By connecting progeny with ritual-sounding names (Paurṇamāsa), the text suggests that cosmic and social continuity is maintained through yajña/ṛta-aligned rhythms.
Vaṁśa: enumeration of Prajāpati descendants.
Paurṇamāsa evokes the full-moon sacrificial cycle; symbolically, genealogy mirrors lunar periodicity—recurrence, nourishment, and regulated time.
