Adhyaya 51 — Yaksha Injunctions: Graha-Children and Female Spirits Causing Domestic and Ritual Disruptions
नियोजयति मामिष्टविरोधाच्च विवर्जनम् ।
आक्रुष्टोऽन्येन मन्येत ताडितो वा नियोजिका ॥
niyojayati mām iṣṭa-virodhāc ca vivarjanam / ākruṣṭo 'nyena manyeta tāḍito vā niyojikā
इति मन्यमानः—“सा मां प्रेरयति” इति—प्रियवस्तुनि (परस्य वा स्वस्य हिते वा) द्वेषतः कर्म न कुर्यात्। परेणाक्रुष्टोऽपि ताडितोऽपि तं प्रेरककृतमिति बुद्ध्वा प्रतिकर्मणि न प्रवर्तेत्।

The verse teaches restraint under provocation: even insult or harm should not be allowed to hijack one’s agency into retaliatory, dharma-opposed action.
