Adhyaya 33 — Madālasa on the Fruit of Śrāddha Performed on Lunar Days and Nakṣatras
दीर्घमायुरथैश्वर्यं कुर्वाणस्तु त्रयोदशीम् ।
अवाप्रोति न सन्देहः श्राद्धं श्रद्धापरो नरः ॥
dīrgham āyur athaiśvaryaṃ kurvāṇas tu trayodaśīm | avāpnoti na sandehaḥ śrāddhaṃ śraddhāparo naraḥ ||
श्रद्धावान् पुरुषः त्रयोदश्यां श्राद्धं कृत्वा दीर्घायुः समृद्धिं च प्राप्नोति—अत्र संशयो नास्ति।

Ritual efficacy is explicitly tied to śraddhā (sincere intent). The verse teaches that dharma is not mere procedure; inner disposition is a necessary condition for auspicious outcomes.
