Adhyaya 25 — Madālāsā’s Return, Royal Succession, and the First Teaching to Vikrānta
तुतुषुस्तेन वै भृत्या जहास च मदालसा ।
सा वै मदालसा पुत्रं बालमुत्तानशायिनम् ।
उल्लापनच्छलेनाह रुदमानमविस्वरम् ॥
tutuṣus tena vai bhṛtyā jahāsa ca madālasā | sā vai madālasā putraṃ bālam uttānaśāyinam | ullāpanacchalenāha rudamānam avisvaram ||
तत् श्रुत्वा परिचारकाः प्रहृष्टा बभूवुः, मदालसा च स्मितं चकार। ततः सा शिशुभाषानिमित्तेन पृष्ठशायिनं मन्दं रुदन्तं स्वपुत्रं प्रति जगाद।

Wisdom is presented as compatible with household life: a mother can transmit liberating insight gently, even through ordinary affection and lullaby.
