एते च विविधाः कामा गीतवाद्यादिकञ्च यत् ।
सर्वमेतन्मम मतं फलं पुण्यवनस्पतेः ॥
ete ca vividhāḥ kāmā gīta-vādyādikañ ca yat / sarvam etan mama mataṃ phalaṃ puṇya-vanaspateḥ
एते च नानाविधा भोगाः, तथा गीतवाद्यादयः; सर्वमेतन्मम मते पुण्यवृक्षस्य फलम्।

Enjoyments are interpreted as effects (phala) of prior righteousness; therefore, the rational pursuit is cultivation of puṇya rather than anxious chasing of pleasures.
