मघवान् समभिक्रुद्ध: सहसा दानवानिव । जैसे क्रोधमें भरे हुए इन्द्र सहसा दानवोंपर बाणोंकी बौछार करते हैं, उसी प्रकार द्रोणाचार्यने धृष्टद्युम्मपर बाणोंकी बड़ी भारी वर्षा आरम्भ कर दी
maghavān samabhikruddhaḥ sahasā dānavān iva |
सञ्जय उवाच—मघवानिव समभिक्रुद्धो दानवान् सहसा शरवर्षेणाभ्यवर्षत्, तथा द्रोणाचार्यो धृष्टद्युम्नं प्रति महतीं शरवृष्टिमारभत।
