The verse highlights the psychology of battle: a warrior may display loud defiance even when wounded. Ethically, it underscores the contrast between impulsive aggression and the steadiness associated with Kṛṣṇa—inviting reflection on self-control and dharmic clarity amid conflict.
Sañjaya describes a dramatic moment: Ulūka, though injured, strikes toward Śrī Kṛṣṇa and then roars so powerfully that it seems to fill the earth with sound.
