उपावर्तयदव्यग्रस्तान श्वान् पुष्करेक्षण: । मिषतां सर्वसैन्यानां त्वदीयानां विशाम्पते,प्रजानाथ! कमलनयन श्रीकृष्णने आपके सम्पूर्ण सैनिकोंके देखते-देखते उद्धेगशून्य होकर उन घोड़ोंकोी टहलाया
upāvartayad avyagras tān aśvān puṣkarekṣaṇaḥ | miṣatāṃ sarvasainyānāṃ tvadīyānāṃ viśāmpate prajānātha ||
उपावर्तयदव्यग्रस्तानश्वान् पुष्करेक्षणः । मिषतां सर्वसैन्यानां त्वदीयानां विशाम्पते ॥
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights ethical steadiness in crisis: true leadership in war is marked not by agitation but by disciplined composure (avyagra), enabling right action even under the gaze and pressure of an entire army.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Kṛṣṇa—described as lotus-eyed—calmly turns and maneuvers the horses (and thus the chariot’s movement) while the Kaurava forces watch, emphasizing his control and fearlessness amid battlefield tension.
