Adhyaya 71: पुरत्रयवृत्तान्तः—ब्रह्मवरदानम्, मयकृतत्रिपुर-निर्माणम्, विष्णुमाया-धर्मविघ्नः, शिवस्तुति, त्रिपुरदाहोपक्रमः

सुखासीनौ ह्यसंभ्रान्तौ धर्मविघ्नार्थमव्ययौ एवं नष्टे तदा धर्मे श्रौतस्मार्ते सुशोभने

sukhāsīnau hyasaṃbhrāntau dharmavighnārthamavyayau evaṃ naṣṭe tadā dharme śrautasmārte suśobhane

सुखासीनौ ह्यसंभ्रान्तौ तौ द्वावव्ययौ धर्मविघ्नार्थं प्रवृत्तौ। एवं श्रौतस्मार्ते सुशोभने धर्मे तदा नष्टे सति॥
