FAQs

It frames Śaṅkara-arcana as a fruit-bearing discipline—here, worship of Śiva (Pati) is presented as effective even for worldly aims like progeny, indicating the Purāṇic basis for Linga-pūjā as a means of grace (anugraha).

By highlighting that even Hari turns toward Śaṅkara’s worship for fulfillment, the verse implies Śiva’s supremacy as Pati—the bestower whose grace governs the outcomes of karma for pashus (souls) bound by pasha (limitations).

Śaṃkarārcana—formal worship of Śiva (commonly via Linga-pūjā with offerings and mantra)—is the emphasized practice; it functions as a focused sādhana aligning desire with dharma under Śiva’s lordship.
