FAQs

As an anukramaṇikā (contents) verse, it flags the Dakṣa episode: ritualism without devotion leads to downfall, while restoration comes through turning toward Shiva (Pati) with humility—an implicit foundation for Linga-pūjā as surrender and alignment with Shiva’s grace.

By pairing “curse” with “release,” it points to Shiva-tattva as both niyati (the law that checks ego-bound action) and anugraha (the liberating bestowal that removes pasha), consistent with the Shaiva Siddhanta Pati who binds and frees the pashu.

No specific rite is prescribed in this line, but the theme critiques pride in yajña and implies the Shaiva corrective: devotion-centered worship (Linga-pūjā) and inner discipline aligned with Pāśupata orientation—humility, surrender, and seeking Shiva’s anugraha.
