Sukta 1

तदू षु ते महत् पृथुज्मन् नमः कविः काव्येन कृणोमि । यत् सम्यञ्चावभियन्तावभि क्षामत्रा मही रोधचक्रे वावृधेते

tád ū́ ṣú te mahát pṛthujmán námaḥ kavíḥ kā́vyena kṛṇomi | yát samyáñcāv abhiyántāv abhí kṣā́m átra mahī́ ródhacakre vāvṛdhéte |

That great (deed) of thine, O wide-domain, homage!—the Seer with poetic craft I perform. When the two, converging, advancing upon the earth, here the Great One made a ring of barrier, they twain waxed strong.
