The two months of the Rains appointed as guardians Vairūpa and Vairāja, as the two executors of the rite.

वार्षिकौ मासौ गोप्तारौ कृत्वा वैरूपं च वैराजं च अनुष्ठातारौ (कर्मकर्तारौ) अकरुवन्।
