Chapter 369 — शरीरावयवाः
The Limbs/Organs and Constituents of the Body
ऋतावपि च योनिश्चेद्वातपित्तकफावृता भवेत्तदा विकाशित्वं नैव तस्यां प्रजायते
ṛtāvapi ca yoniścedvātapittakaphāvṛtā bhavettadā vikāśitvaṃ naiva tasyāṃ prajāyate
ऋतावपि यदि योनिर्वातपित्तकफैः आवृता भवेत्, तदा तस्यां विकाशित्वं न जायते; अतः प्रजा नोत्पद्यते।

The takeaway is to treat infertility by clearing obstruction and balancing doshas rather than focusing only on timing."}
Dosha: Tridosha
Concept: Kala (timing) is subordinate to kshetra (receptive field) and doshic patency; obstruction negates opportunity.
Application: In any endeavor, remove impediments (avarana) and restore functional openness before expecting results from favorable timing.
Khanda Section: Ayurveda (Stri-roga / Garbha-sambhava—gynecology and conception)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: karuna
Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A physician explains that despite the fertile season (ritu), a tridoshic ‘covering’ blocks the yoni’s opening; shown as three colored veils (vata-blue, pitta-red, kapha-white) over a lotus-gate symbol.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural, symbolic lotus-gate (yoni) covered by three translucent veils in traditional colors, sage-physician teaching, decorative floral borders, flat iconic composition","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting, gold-embossed lotus gate with three layered cloths labeled vata/pitta/kapha, ritu-kala shown as a moon-calendar motif, ornate frame","mysore_prompt":"Mysore style, instructional cutaway diagram with three layers obstructing an opening, annotations, calm classroom setting with palm-leaf notes","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature, medical lecture with a painted chart: three colored bands blocking a passage, seasonal calendar in margin, fine detail and calligraphy"}
Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"instructional","suggested_raga":"Shankarabharanam","pace":"medium","voice_tone":"instructional"}
Sandhi Resolution Notes: ऋतौ+अपि→ऋतावपि; योनिḥ+चेत्→योनिश्चेत्; चेत्+वात...→चेद्वात...; भवेत्+तदा→भवेत्तदा; न+एव→नैव.
Related Themes: Agni Purana 369 (yoni/garbha topics; dosha-based causation across adjacent verses)
Ayurvedic clinical knowledge: conception may fail even in the fertile window if the reproductive passage is doṣically obstructed (vāta–pitta–kapha), preventing proper opening/dilatation.
It shows the Purana functioning as a knowledge-compendium by preserving specialized Ayurvedic gynecology—linking fertility outcomes to tridoṣa pathology rather than only to ritual timing.
By framing infertility as a correctable imbalance (doṣa-āvaraṇa) rather than mere fate, it encourages disciplined, dharmic self-care and appropriate treatment as part of sustaining household life (gṛhastha-dharma).
