FAQs

Ayurvedic practical therapeutics: a specific equal-proportion compound using arka-latex, sesame, oil, palala, and jaggery, with kṛṣṇā/harītakī, prescribed for scorpion-sting affliction.

It shows the Agni Purana functioning as a compendium beyond theology—preserving applied medical recipes (viṣa/daṃśa-cikitsā) alongside other sciences, making it a broad reference work of classical knowledge.

By framing compassionate healing as dharmic conduct, the text links medical aid to righteous action—relieving suffering is treated as meritorious service consistent with Purāṇic ethics.
