FAQs

Ayurvedic therapeutics: preparing medicated ghee with toothache-alleviating drugs for mouth diseases, and using saindhava (rock salt) specifically for tongue disorders.

It shows the Agni Purana’s inclusion of practical medical science (Ayurveda) alongside theology and ritual—giving concrete formulations for oral and dental care.

By preserving health (especially speech and the mouth, central to mantra-recitation and ritual purity), the instruction supports dharmic living and the capacity to perform sacred duties effectively.
