Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Tantra","secondary_vidya":"Mantra","practical_application":"Mantra-sadhana using aṅga-nyāsa/karanyāsa, tattva-śuddhi, and stepwise internal purification to stabilize the practitioner’s psycho-physical field for siddhi-oriented practice.","sutra_style":true}

Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"Procedure","entry_title":"Aṅga-ārādhana and Tattva-śodhana leading to Siddhi","lookup_keywords":["aṅga-ārādhana","tattva-śodhana","siddhi","mantra-sādhana","krama-śuddhi"],"quick_summary":"Worship the mantra through its prescribed ritual limbs, equalize the tattva-group, and purify them sequentially; completion is said to culminate in siddhi-readiness and attainment."}

Concept: Tattva-sāmya (equilibrium of principles) and krama-śuddhi (graded purification) as prerequisites for mantra-siddhi.

Application: Use a staged inner practice: stabilize (sāmya) before intensifying mantra-japa/homa; treat ‘siddhi’ as the fruit of disciplined purification rather than mere repetition.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A guru-led inner ritual: the sādhaka seated in padmāsana, performing aṅga-nyāsa while subtle tattva-circles (bhūta, indriya, manas, etc.) are shown being aligned and purified in ascending order, culminating in a radiant siddhi-aura.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala temple mural style, flat yet vibrant colors, guru and sādhaka seated on a ritual mat, hands in nyāsa mudrā, subtle concentric tattva-lotus diagram behind the body, sacred fire lamp nearby, calm adbhuta mood.","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting, central sādhaka with halo, gold-leaf detailing on mantra-bīja glyphs and tattva-lotus rings, small guru figure instructing, ornate borders, emphasis on ‘siddhi’ radiance.","mysore_prompt":"Mysore painting style, fine linework, instructional depiction of aṅga-nyāsa positions on the body with labeled tattva-lotus nodes, subdued palette, precise ritual implements.","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature, intimate indoor shrine setting, guru and disciple, delicate depiction of subtle energy as translucent colored circles, manuscript-like margins with mantra syllables, refined detailing."}

FAQs

It teaches mantra-sādhana methodology: propitiating a mantra via its aṅga-practices (auxiliary limbs like nyāsa and related rites) and performing kramic (stepwise) tattva-śodhana to stabilize the inner principles for mantra-perfection.

It exemplifies the Agni Purana’s practical ritual-technology—mapping inner metaphysical categories (tattvas) to applied worship procedures—showing how the text integrates philosophy, yoga-like purification, and temple/household mantra-ritual into a single operational framework.

By balancing and purifying the tattvas through disciplined mantra-aṅga practice, the practitioner removes inner impurity and obstruction, culminating in siddhi—religiously framed as the fruition of purified intention, correct method, and sustained devotion.
