The Self-born Lord then proceeds to create diverse beings, linking tattva theory to living creation."}
Concept: Sattva supports cognition and governance: indriyas have devatā-presiders; mind coordinates them as an eleventh instrument; creation proceeds from ordered faculties to diverse beings.
Application: In sādhana, treat senses as governed powers: practice indriya-saṃyama by centering manas, using devatā-visualization to sanctify perception and reduce distraction.

Related Themes: Agni Purana 17.3 (vaikārika classification); Agni Purana 17.5 (indriya genesis mention)
It imparts cosmological-technical knowledge (Sāṃkhya-style ontology) that the mind is counted as the eleventh indriya and that ten presiding deities arise from the sāttvika (vaikārika) evolute.
By embedding a systematic account of creation—linking guṇa-based evolution (vaikārika) to indriyas, their presiding devas, and Brahmā’s generative act—it functions as a compact doctrinal summary alongside the Purāṇa’s many applied sciences.
It frames human experience as governed by mind and senses within a divinely ordered cosmos, encouraging discernment (viveka) and disciplined sense-control as a basis for dharma and liberation-oriented conduct.
