Transliteration

ete ca vāṃchate nityaṃ takṣako dvija kuṇḍale | sa tatheti samādāya vismayotphullalocanaḥ | kautukātpunarāgatya rājānaṃ vākyamabravīt

Translation

«О брахман, змей-нага Такшака всегда желает эти серьги». Сказав: «Да будет так», он взял их; глаза его расширились от изумления. Затем, из любопытства, он вернулся и произнёс царю такие слова.
