adyādi mānavaḥ prātaḥ snātvā tvatra hrade ca yaḥ | sāvitreṇa ca sūktena māṃ dṛṣṭvā prapaṭhiṣyati | tasmai tatsyādasaṃdigdhaṃ yattavoktaṃ mayā dvija
Отныне всякий человек, кто на рассвете омоется в этом озере и затем, узрев меня, прочтёт гимн Савитри, — тому, о дважды-рождённый, без сомнения сбудется сказанное мною тебе.
Sūrya (Āditya)
Type: hrada
Listener: A dvija (addressed as ‘dvija’)
Scene: A pilgrim at sunrise steps into a lotus-filled lake; after bathing, he stands with wet hair, hands in añjali before a visible deity-form; as he recites Sāvitrī, a solar disc and mantra-syllables radiate outward, encircling him.
Tīrtha-snānā combined with mantra-recitation and direct devotion (darśana) yields assured spiritual fruit.
A sacred hrada (lake) within the Nāgarakhaṇḍa’s Tīrthamāhātmya, especially efficacious for Sūrya-upāsanā.
Dawn bathing (prātaḥ-snānā) in the lake, followed by recitation of the Sāvitrī hymn while beholding Sūrya.
