vyāsa uvāca | sādhu pṛṣṭaṃ tvayā bhūpa ūrdhvalokakathānakam | yacchrutvā naraśārdūla sarvarogātpramucyate | viśvakarmmasutā saṃjñā aṃśumadraviṇā vṛtā
Vyāsa
Listener: Yudhiṣṭhira
Scene: Vyāsa, serene and authoritative, blesses the king’s question; behind them a symbolic vignette shows Saṃjñā (radiant) being wedded to Sūrya (Aṃśumān) with celestial witnesses.
Sacred listening is healing, and divine lineages are taught to reveal cosmic dharma working through relationships and vows.
No specific tīrtha is named in this verse; it introduces the mythic genealogy behind Yama, Yamunā, and the Aśvins.
Śravaṇa of the kathā is praised as a remedy—freedom from sarvaroga (all diseases).
