Тогда Хари (Вишну), мудрый и исполненный преданности, повелел совершить благие обряды. Воистину, боги совершили абхишеку Картикеи водами, собранными со всех священных тиртх.

The verse highlights bhakti expressed through maṅgala-kriyā (auspicious sacred action): the devas and Viṣṇu honor Kārttikeya with abhiṣeka, showing that divine grace is approached through reverent consecration and sanctified elements (tīrtha-jala).
Abhiṣeka is a central Saguna mode of worship in the Shiva Purana—ritually bathing the revered deity with sanctified waters. Here the same consecratory principle is applied to Kārttikeya, reinforcing the Purāṇic ideal that tangible ritual offerings can carry devotion toward the divine presence upheld by Śiva’s order.
It suggests abhiṣeka performed with tīrtha-jala (sanctified water) as an auspicious rite, done with bhakti; as a takeaway for devotees, perform ritual bathing of the deity/Śiva-liṅga with pure water while sustaining mantra-japa (e.g., Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and a maṅgala-saṅkalpa.
