В той битве между ними поднялась грозная груда и сплошной настил стрел, что глазам казалось подобным куче травы куша, озарённой двумя пылающими огнями на жертвенном месте яджны.
In the battle the terrific arrows appeared to the eyes like kusa grass spread by the sacred fire.
The sacrificial imagery suggests that even warfare is judged against sacred order: dharma demands that force be framed by higher purpose and moral restraint, not by hatred.
The volley of arrows becomes so thick that it forms a terrifying ‘mass’ in the field of vision, compared to ritual kuśa illuminated by fire.
Steadfast focus (ekāgratā) in combat—continuing precise action amid overwhelming danger.
