Увидев любимого сына рядом — склонившегося и со сложенными ладонями, — царь взял его сложенные руки, притянул к себе и обнял дорогого сына.
Seeing his beloved son Rama who was standing by his side with folded hands in supplication, king Dasaratha, held his folded hands and drew him near and embraced him.
Dharma is shown as reciprocal duty and affection within the family: the son’s respect is met by the father’s protective love and acceptance.
After Rāma’s respectful salutation, Daśaratha responds warmly in public, acknowledging him with an embrace.
Daśaratha’s vātsalya (fatherly affection) and graciousness toward a dutiful son.
