Будь то на вершинах дворцов, в великолепных чертогах или даже в движении по небесам, при любом положении высшим считается прибежище в тени стоп мужа.
Every woman, everywhere be it on the top of mansions or in lovely palaces or flying in the sky should take shelter at his (her husband's) feet (or follow his footsteps).
The verse prioritizes dharma over luxury: true security is defined not by wealth or status but by rightful relational duty—standing with one’s spouse in all circumstances.
Sītā contrasts royal comforts with the superior value of accompanying Rāma, arguing that her proper refuge is with him, not in palatial ease.
Detachment from comfort and unwavering commitment to marital duty.
